Why am I bringing this up?
Today is a day with karma 9, and this is the number associated with the planet Mars.
What does Mars make you think of (apart from candy bars)?
Mars is the god of war, the red planet. Red is the color of passion and blood, violence, and anger.
Therefore, I think that this is a good day to count until ten before blurting out something we might regret later. Blood can also mean family; family squabbles, arguments? Stress can make us feel like all the blood is rushing to our head, which is hypertension.
I wish we could do a proving of a real Martian opal; what a trip that would be! The next best thing is our very earthly Australian Black Opal.
Australian black opals are the most valuable and widely known type of opal. Black opal is characterized by a dark body tone, which can range from dark grey to jet black. However, this refers only to the general body tone of the stone and is not related to the rainbow or spectral colors present in the opal.
Unlike ordinary opals, black opals have carbon and iron oxide trace elements present, which cause the unusual darkness of the stone. Because of their dark body tone, the rainbow colors in a black opal stand out much better than lighter opals.
Gemstones are about spiritual transformation. Always remember that these gems come from the bowels of the earth and need to be dug out of the earth with great effort, blood, and sweat. After that, they must be polished and cleaned before revealing all their light and glory. The geological process of crystal formation is fundamentally one of enormous pressure over millions of years.
Translated into human terms, pressure is suffering. A very intense and traumatic kind of experience. Most people would buckle or get crushed by these kinds of experiences, and that is what we ordinarily see as homeopaths when the trauma manifests in physical and mental symptoms.
