The usual Full Moon process escalates dramas and emotions to the max and then pushes them even further into a release.
Have you felt lost in the shuffle? Undervalued? Under-appreciated? That your voice isn’t being heard?
Have escalating events left you feeling that they’re unsustainable? That something’s gotta give?
These questions swell to the breaking point under the 2025 Leo Full Moon. And so do we.
The running suggestion is to stock up on popcorn fits. But as much as you might treat the larger events playing out as entertainment, the personal importance is firing up your confidence and conviction that you have every right to exist.
Drama and grandstanding will be rampant. Ploys for attention will go over the top and, in many cases, meet the reaction of “over it!” People will be stomping off stage. You’ll be receiving exit cues in situations where you’ve been sidelined, undervalued, or underappreciated. Ignoring the cues gains you nothing. It will probably feel futile – and maybe maddening – to expend any further energy trying to catch the notice of people who don’t see or get you.
But that doesn’t mean we won’t try like crazy, especially collectively, and our very effort may contribute to greater situations breaking open.
The 2025 Leo Full Moon is the realm of the self – of the child, engaged in play and creative expression, and sometimes demanding attention and throwing a tantrum; of royalty, from the beneficent to drama queens and queen bees. A Full Moon in this sign lights up the challenge of being your own shining self and existing in a collective of other shining selves. That’s hard to balance when enough people are running around yelling, “Look at me! Look at me!” (the clarion call of a Leo moon).
The 2025 Leo Full Moon ends with a thunderclap, a lightning bolt, and a loud and brittle cosmic “STOP!” The Aquarius Sun and Leo Moon are squaring Uranus in Taurus. They are forming a t-square, with reason and emotion equally pressuring the agent of sudden, unpredictable change.
The three bodies are intertwined in another way: The Moon is in the sign of the Sun, and the Sun is in the sign ruled by Uranus. Uranus is calling the shots, and he is shattering the dramas with awakening, liberation, and altered perspectives in their wake.
He’s been building to this release for more than a month. The quick-change artist of the sky has been lingering at his current degree, 23 Taurus, since December 20. He stationed direct here on January 30, which has made the impact of his zaps increasingly detectable.
What started coming to light and building from either of those dates? What began churning in you? How have you been feeling about yourself in the general scheme of things? Have you found yourself feeling so out of place at a gathering that you wondered why you bothered? Have you been encountering people in whose company you feel free (in fact, welcomed) to be yourself?
You’ll have answers in an instant, with an unseen switch shutting down some situations and a flashing arrow pointing to others.
Nods to popular entertainment will run through our reactions. Watch for “Nobody puts Baby in the corner” moments. Hogwarts’ Sorting Hat will be noticeably at work, assigning and, in some cases, reassigning allegiances that define us. And people of a certain age may find themselves making like Steve Lawrence and singing “I Gotta Be Me.”
Emotional realizations and responses will be immediate. Some of the implications will play out for a few weeks. One target date is February 23, when Mars stations direct at the degree where he has just trined stabilizing Saturn. Another is March 13, when Uranus moves off 23 Taurus, where he takes the hit of the 2025 Leo Full Moon’s t-square.
As chaotic and rearranging as the 2025 Leo Full Moon promises to be, keep your focus on the personal benefits. You are gaining freedom. You may even be experiencing your own love for yourself. The gift is, in the words of Oscar Wilde, “Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.”
