Root Chakra – Healing into Wholeness using the Chakras
Creating a Collage and Journal
This is a good exercise and artistic project for the Root Chakra. This will include personal Identity, the I Am, and the Right to Exist. This will include the aspects that create the unique you!
Picking and choosing the images, and texts, can come from a variety of mediums. Look through some new or old photos. The junk drawer in your kitchen. You can use past times you have went to a concert, a show, like a ticket stub. Old postcards, or holiday cards. A old wrapper from something you enjoyed. Family, and friend photos. Silk or dry flowers are a great add on. Images from magazines, books.
If you are short on supplies such as magazines, visiting a local library works. They usually have a book or magazine sale, and can purchase stacks of magazines, for a great price. Thrift stores is another great supplier. This is a great way to recycle, being green and friendly to earth and the environment.
You will need to purchase a spiral bound notebook. Have glue and scissors on hand. A sturdy piece of cardboard, cut into the same size as the front of the notebook.
Please don’t think too hard, with being really particular or cutting these out. Just tear and rip away sifting and sorting, and collecting the pieces that will go into this exercise. Whatever catches your attention, and says this is You. These can be texts or words that describe You. There may be something more fine, that catches your eye, and using scissors to finely cut a piece out is perfect.
