Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 6
Feng Shui From the Inside, Out Day? 6
Life Path 1
What I refer to as the Life Path section of the bagua is often times referred to as the ‘career’ area, a term I find to be far too limited for the scope of this portion of the octagon which covers, essentially, what it is that you do in the world. Not everyone has a career but everyone has a life path.
The Life Path region is associated with the entry wall of a room but can also be tied to any area of a room where you spend a great deal of time. When sitting at your desk, for instance, the chair in which you sit can become your Life Path, the rest of what may well be a very small bagua rolling out in front of you, with your keyboard residing in the Center and, following your direct line of vision, whatever is across from you becoming the Recognition area and so on.
This particular orientation puts a great deal of pressure on you to have excellent, supportive seating because who doesn’t want to feel supported on their life path? The same applies to your bed. Yes, you may be more or less unconscious while you’re in it, but the fact that you are not aware of the influences going on around you as you sleep does not lessen their effect on your physical body, especially in those particularly vulnerable times just before falling asleep and waking up when your mind is especially open.
