Feng Shui from the Inside, Out – Day 8
Feng Shui from the Inside, Out? Day 8

Connection: part 1
Energy in interior spaces flows clockwise from the main entry door so we will make our way around the bagua in a clockwise fashion also, going with that flow. This leads us then to the area of Inspiration and Connection, that is, to the area that resonates with whatever it is that feels like our source, whatever it is that we rely on for inspiration or that feels as if it connects us to the rest of humanity/the earth/the universes. Some people might see this area as their God or religion area. Others, less spiritually inclined, might interpret this area as having to do with nature itself. It’s a space that is very personal in nature.
If you are in bed or at your desk or seated somewhere, this area – like the Resource area directly across from it – will be at least partially unseen by you but it will be available to your peripheral vision and will be at least partially seen whenever you look in that direction. The fact that this area becomes almost secondary in your visual awareness speaks to how easily this aspect of your life can be forgotten, especially when the mind is overwhelmed or the heart is hurting, the times when you most need it.
A bedroom is an especially good place to address this area well precisely because of the openness of the body to influences when it is sleeping. Just to the left of the head of your bed, if you are lying on your back, this area, like the Life Path area directly behind you and the resource area on the right side of the bed, provides a sense of support, in this case the support of the unseen, the support of that which you cannot ever really know yet are somehow aware of it, a sense, perhaps, of the energy of Life.
