About ABBA

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972, comprising Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.  Their song “Take A Chance On Me” was a huge hit with over 1M singles sold.  It is very awesome that it is now being used to help promote animal adoption.  Gratitude and Respect to ABBA! About the SPCA of Wake County

Founded in Raleigh in 1967, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,000 animals through its innovative animal adoption programs and lost and found efforts!

The guiding mission statement of the SPCA remains as relevant now as it was when it was written in 1967: To protect, shelter and promote the adoption of homeless animals; to provide education about responsible pet ownership and to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.

The SPCA of Wake County operates two animal shelters and each facility serves a different purpose. The first facility is the SPCA Curtis Dail Animal Adoption Center, located at 200 Petfinder Lane in Raleigh, which focuses on animal adoption and public education. The Animal Adoption Center location does not accept any incoming animals.
