Are You Living Your Purpose?

We are living in a transformational time on the planet, and we are being pushed, at a spiritual level, to align to our life purpose and share our gifts and talents with the world. That is why so many of us feel a deep longing inside, an urge to do meaningful work—work that makes us feel alive and makes a difference.

There is an epidemic use of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication that is just a Band-Aid for the underlying issue of being disconnected from one’s true self and one’s true purpose. Some people, at some point, could need medication, but suppressing who we really are and what we came here to do has deep consequences of making us feel despair, hopelessness and it creates anxiety and depression.

These are some of the reasons why the perfect time for living our purpose is “now,” and it cannot wait for “someday”. Someday is not in the calendar and life is really short. We know that we are here today, but we never know when we are leaving this beautiful planet; so read on…

7 Reasons Why the Time for Living Your Purpose is “Now”

1. There is a lot of discomfort and dissatisfaction that we feel when we are not in alignment with our unique purpose.

We feel a longing that gets louder and louder, and we tend to feel out of place because we are not doing what we came here to do. That discomfort is actually giving us feedback; the stronger the discomfort, the more feedback we are getting.

2. From a holistic perspective, things can get very uncomfortable in other areas of our lives when we are unfulfilled.

Our career can affect our relationships, our personal life and our health; all is connected. When we are out of alignment in one area it will create a ripple effect in other areas of our lives as well.

3. There is a special kind of joy and a deep level of fulfillment that we won’t feel with anything else in our life.

Despite the challenges that we may face, because we all can have a bad day, if we feel a constant of feeling lack of energy and dissatisfaction, or feeling drained and unhappy, we need to take the time to listen to the feedback and take action!

4. People need our gifts now.

Each person was put on this earth for a unique purpose, it is as unique as a fingerprint. Not following our purpose, and not acknowledging our gifts and talents, not only dishonors who we are and who we came here to be, but also, it’s a disservice to those around us and to the world in general.

5. Taking ownership of our own life and giving ourselves permission to explore is the best act of self-love we can do for ourselves.

In my case, my journey to fulfillment started with unapologetic self-love, listening to my inner guidance, and having blind faith in who I was designed to be.

6. We become an inspiration and a role model to those around us and younger generations.

We would be setting an amazing example for others to follow and find the courage to take the risks necessary for growth and expansion.

7. Our unique purpose in life can be ignored, but it can’t be denied.

It is always there and the more we ignore it, the more we feel life is a struggle. We all have the power to choose to live it!

When we commit to living our purpose, we not only fulfill our lives, but we start changing the world by sharing our unique contribution and creating a ripple of goodness and love that extends to everyone around us.

So I invite you to ask yourself these questions: Are you following the path of your life purpose? Do you feel alive with vibrancy and excitement about your life every morning? If not, then, what are the consequences of NOT doing it?

When we live aligned with who we came here to be, we won’t look back on our lives one day with regret. There is an incredible loss when we do not follow our purpose. There is our own loss of the joy of not following our passion and sharing our gifts; but also, the loss of the people who will miss out on what we came here to share.
