Color My World

It’s often said that every living thing is a rainbow of colors. Every color has its own meaning and affects you in uniquely different and profound ways. When it is Spring and I am able to be outdoors, whether it’s driving in a car or walking my dog in a local park, I notice and appreciate even more now the colors of nature that are vibrantly coming forth. The clear blue sky dotted with white clouds, the new green growth of the earth, the multitude of hues coming from blooming flowers, the different tones of browns and tans from the trees, even the many colors of the variety of birds that have arrived after a long winter, all have a positive effect on me as I take them in and let them blend with my own aura.

Many people don’t realize the importance of color in that each one vibrates to its own different frequency. We all have a main color in our aura, but there are many other colors in our aura that do change based on what’s happening around us physically, mentally, emotionally, and yes even spiritually. I use color in my work, whether it’s to read a person’s aura, to send healing color to someone, or even during my guided meditations. There are so many different ways you can use color in your life, whether it’s to give you more energy, for inspiration, to calm your nerves, and to heal your body. Even the health care industry has recognized the importance of color, and is beginning to use color light therapy with patients depending on their need or healing.

You need to be more aware of the colors that surround you, including the colors you choose to wear or even the colors in your home, and how colors can help and affect you. I always tell parents not to put their children in bright yellow bedrooms because although yellow is a beautifully vibrant color, it may also make that child feel too emotional and extra sensitive. I also wouldn’t put a child in a red room; it’s a physical color that may make them feel restless. Blue works nicely to calm and brings a sense of peacefulness. Have you ever noticed that in hospitals the colors are calming pastels? Most hospitals are tans, blues, and pale greens, which all have a calming effect on their patients.

If someone you know isn’t feeling well, imagine sending them the color green because green is a healing color and comes from the heart center. Use this technique: See the person in your mind’s eye and envision the color green surrounding them and healing the entire being. If you’re the one not feeling well and you need some healing, just imagine the color green yourself, breathe it in and let it fill your body and aura.

Even the marketing industry uses colors. When you are in a supermarket, have you noticed that lots of product labels have reds and yellows on them? Why? To physically make you look at and notice the product. Yellow is used to get your attention and red is used to make you physically look at it or pick it up or even to buy it.

I hope this article makes you want to understand color and that every color carries with it its own energetic vibration. Colors can change your life – so please get to know them and let them assist you in all areas of your life. After all, remember that each and every one of us is truly a rainbow of different colors!

In my book Psychic Navigator – Harnessing Your Inner Guidance, you’ll find some great information about the aura, the different colors that we emanate, and how to read intuitively what the colors means to you. Colors are a wonderful tool to lead you to your intuition as well as understanding those around you. Let your imagination help you think in color. Close your eyes and picture someone you know. What color or hue do you imagine around them? When meeting new people or if a situation arises, ask yourself, “What color are they or what color do I see emanating from the situation?” Go with the first color that comes into your mind.

Notice the colors you are wearing, the inside of your house, the colors that are around you at the office, the colors that you are attracted to – there is a reason why you are attracted to that color, and you may not even know why until you know and understand the meaning and vibration of the color.

As you learn what colors mean – you’ll never look at them the same way again!
