Angels Among Us

by Barb Powell

I call Angels the Watchers.  I’ve been told that Angels have been observing planet earth since its conception.  They witnessed the temptation and fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

In short, the Angels – from the very start – have been celestial spectators of the unfolding drama of human redemption being played out on planet earth.  Angels are God’s angels and they exist to carry out His purposes.  Angels do not seek praise or worship for the things they do.

Remember, Angels are the watchers.  They superintend the events of your life and protect the interest of the Creator, always working to promote His plans.  When ‘bad’ things happen, we ask ourselves why and place blame.  Instead we need to begin to ask what it is that we need to learn from this situation for our higher good.  This doesn’t mean that everything happens for our higher good.

I’m not a huge believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.  How can one say that the murder and mutilation of their only daughter is for a specific reason!   If we truly need a reason, the answer is that there was someone that made a choice or decision to take this daughter.  Things happen, people make choices that are not good, but this does not mean we are being punished.  We too have a choice or decision of how we will react to a situation.

Life can be fickle at times, like a roller coaster that we can not voluntarily get off of because we aren’t having fun any longer.  Angels help those who help themselves.  Their main purpose is not to do the work for us by giving all the answers.  They give just enough in order for us to seek and find the answers.

The sure thing I know for sure is that we are not alone.  That all of us need to take risks of faith and believe that we are connected to the Spirit Realm.  That a connection is not needed by someone we label as special, skilled or talented.  We all have the ability to share a bond with the Angels.  All we have to do is ask, the answer may surprise us and may even make us upset.  But it’s all in the divine plan of our life path.  Learn, grow and experience.  Angels come in many forms and disguises.  Just like Spirit Guides, Angels can use others to perform their work.  Have you turned away an Angel by mistake, perhaps you have and never even realized it.  Are you the type of person that keeps issues to yourself and would rather jump into a lake rather than ask for help?
