The Relaxed Soul: In the Midst of Silence

By Dr Paul HaiderRelaxed-Soul

Looking out into space we find very little sound, only peace, stillness, and ever-present connection of contemplative receptivity. This receptivity opens the mind, giving the most powerful energy in the Universe a space in which to grow… THE POWER OF LOVE.

That energy has no allegiance to creed, color, birth right, or rank in society… it only knows what we harbor in our heart… a need to love others, or a need to bring suffering.

Silence allows us to see more than with eyes of flesh and blood… it allows us to understand beauty, beauty that goes beyond what most people think as beauty. Silence gives us the power to be aware of a flower growing in the midst of trash… focusing only on the flower. Thus a sage can focus on the heart of man seeing the light within, allowing all the rest to be insignificant.

Man’s thinking has lead him to believe that more is better, that more noise, more distraction, and more doing will save the world. But a sage in silence can do more to save the world than all the billions running here and there.

A sage in silence spreading words of wisdom is always anchored in deep abiding peace. The great avatars were rooted in silence… the deep silence of prayer, meditation, and nature, filled their cup and thus their powers were great… able to heal the multitudes with just one word.
