Reclaim Your Powerful You! – Day 11

Draw an outline of a figure to represent you. This does not need to be artistic; just a simple outline. Set your timer for 5 minutes. Begin writing as many of your gifts, qualities, aspects, desires and traits as you can wherever it happens to land/fit on the paper. It doesn’t matter where the words or phrases are in relation to the outline of you.

When the time ends, take a few deep breaths and objectively read and notice what’s been written, as if you were learning about a character in a book. Observe with interest, but not attachment.

Circle the particular qualities/things that you comfortably share with others. Next, use a pencil to lightly shade over the aspects you keep “hidden,” making sure you can still read the words beneath the shadows.

Examine those shadowed areas once more. This time, breathe in the words. Close your eyes and feel whatever feelings come up about the shadowed areas. Allow whatever comes up to simply reveal itself.

Finally, choose one shadowed piece and cut it out in the shape of a heart. Sleep with this piece under your pillow.

See what, if anything, arises in the morning.
