Your Conscious, Friendly Mind Day 25

The Art of Non-doing

The most difficult thing in this world is to do nothing. We are trained from childhood to do and to perform and to compete and to establish ourselves, but we are never taught to do something while at the same time seeking the True Doer of all actions. This was not taught in school. Our teachers never gave us the opportunity to grow by asking us, “Did you ever ponder who is the Doer? “Do you ‘do,’ or does Someone else Do?” “Who is the True Doer within?”

The entire concept of Meditation stands on the fundamental principle of Doership or non-doership. All pains, all agonies, all suffering, all miseries in the world are because we think we are the doer. The day our doership is offered to the Universe, and it dawns on us that the Universe is the Doer of all doings, then we say “deeds are Done,” not that we are “doing” something.

This is the Art of Non-doing!!?Things happen the way they have to happen! ? To be positive is to be aware that we are not the doer; things are being Done through us. This positive thought clears all dirt out of our way, the dirt of ego that pollutes every act of goodness. No longer will we wait in expectation of being told that our deeds are appreciated. ?Nothing makes sense until we get out of the clutch of perception of “doership,” the prime illusion of un-awakened mind.
