What if Caring Were the Core of You?

What if Caring Were the Core of You?

By Dr Dain Heer

An Excerpt from From Being You, Changing the World  (Is Now the Time?)

Take my hand and let me lead you down memory lane for a moment …

You are a teenager again … a body that doesn’t quite fit … words that won’t come out right … and a constant simmering boil of feelings and emotions.

Those glorious years of total bliss, ease and joy we all have experienced….

Do you remember these three words, “I don’t care.”

Pick one of the many times you uttered them to yourself, to your friends, parents, teachers, a cute boy, cute girl, rejecting you, again….

Was it true that you didn’t care? Of course not.

You cared far more than you would ever admit—even to yourself.

We all know that about teenagers.

What if that is still true?

What if you care far more than you’ve ever wanted to know? What if you care far more than you’ve ever wanted to acknowledge to anyone, including you? And how much have you decided that it’s that caring that has gotten you into trouble? That your intense caring is what makes you weak? And is responsible for your hurting and your pain?

My friend, it’s not your caring that’s responsible for your hurting and your pain. It’s where you cut off your caring—for you and them—that causes hurting and pain.

Our caring for other people is always the first thing we try to cut off when we think somebody is trying to hurt us.

It feels easier to judge someone and think about what they did wrong (so you can be justified in not being close to them) than it does to put down your barriers and say, “You know what, it’s really tough to say, but I just adore you. I like you so much, and it hurts so much that you don’t want me to be as close as I want to be with you. That’s really what’s going on, which is why I try to judge you, and make you wrong, and try to separate from you.”

Have you ever tried to tell somebody that? What would happen? All their circuits would fry; they would look at you like you were from another planet.

And they would quite possibly melt—into the softness they’ve always wanted to be that they never felt safe to be.

Unfortunately, nobody else does that here. It’s not because we can’t, it’s because we’ve learned not to. We feel like we can’t care for people who are choosing not to receive it. The problem is, you already do care, and you can’t stop. You’re buying a lie when you think, “Oh, I don’t care about them.”

Who are you killing when you do that? You. You just stopped caring for you by buying the lie that you can cut off your caring for anybody else. In order to try to stop caring for them, you can only do it by cutting off your caring for them, you can only do it by cutting off your caring for everyone, which includes YOU. And … it doesn’t work anyway!

What if you didn’t? What if your point of view was, “No matter what, I’m still going to care for me. And I’m still going to care regardless of what the people around me choose.” That’s the only way you will allow yourself to have the joy of your reality by being willing to actually care as much as you truly do, and not cut it off -regardless of what anyone else chooses.

Because that actually involves caring for you.

Everything you’ve done to try to prove to you that you don’t care, and to not acknowledge how very much you care—even for people that hurt you—will you destroy and uncreate all that please? Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD and POC, All Nine, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds.™  – *

We are Beings of Oneness

You’ve got to get over this lie that you don’t care at some point, beautiful being. It’s not that you’re wrong and you’re bad for believing you don’t care.

It is just what you learned from a very young age. It’s just what most people choose so that they don’t ever have to see how truly different they are and how truly different they’d like the world to be.

Many people have checked out of their entire lives based on this one thing:

Not wanting to acknowledge how much they care and how much people here refuse to receive—and gift—that caring.

How much caring have you refused to receive?

How much caring have you refused to be?

Will you acknowledge that?

Will you acknowledge that it’s not the real you?

And that it’s not true for you?

You desire something different.

If not, you wouldn’t be reading this book. You desire something other than cutting off your caring so you can stay “in” this reality. You know there is something greater possible.

Will you acknowledge that? Whatever it takes. Will you do that now?

Everything that doesn’t allow that, will you destroy and uncreate all that please? Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD and POC, All Nine, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds.™

By the way, caring for you and joy go hand in hand. Cutting off from your caring for you and other people doesn’t work.

It doesn’t work!

We can’t do it and maintain joy. We can’t do it and have abundance. We can’t do it and have connection. We can’t do it and create possibilities. Caring is one of the greatest things that is missing in this reality—caring. If everyone on the planet right now had total caring for themselves and each other, would our planet function the way it does? Would it feel the way it does?

Would there be genocide? War?

What would it be like if you were to demand that the totality of your caring was going to show up for you, no matter what? Demand it even if it takes a thousand years … a week … or if it manifests right now?

Right now.

And everything that doesn’t allow you to receive – and be – the true caring for you that would make it a joy to be alive, will you destroy and uncreate all that please? Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD and POC, All Nine, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds.™*
