Jacky Newcomb – Messages from Heaven
My whole life I was terrified he would die. Consequently, my adulthood was about finding ways of coming to terms with this distinct possibility. As it happens, Dad actually lived until he was 77 and after he passed away 5 years ago, he came back from to let us know he had made it safely to the other side. The phenomenon was so widespread that over 20 members of our family and friends experienced contact from Dad after he passed on. My sister and I wrote a book about our experiences with Dad but this certainly wasn’t my first!
OMTimes: Tell us a little bit about Messages from Heaven and why and how you came to create the cards.
Jacky Newcomb: After we wrote our book, Call Me When You Get To Heaven, my sister and I were contacted from people all over the world. Some wanted to share their own stories but others were desperate to reac
h out to their own loved ones but had no interest in visiting psychics. I felt that Dad was now inspiring a pack of cards, which would fill this void; a gentle and safe way of reaching out. The messages I used were similar to the ones that others shared with me; in other words, the cards use real messages from loved ones in heaven.
OMTimes:. You have had contact from ‘the other side’? Tell us about your experiences?
Jacky Newcomb: My first ever contact was an old school friend who passed away in his mid twenties. He came to me in a dream visitation, my first one.
In the dream I was sitting on a hard wooden chair, one of a pair in an empty room. My school friend walked in and I jumped up and hugged him. I remember asking him, “Why are you here? You’re dead aren’t you?” That turned out to be a classic phrase, which occurs in many stories I have received from other people. It distinguished the experience from an ordinary dream.
