HELLO! Its Me, Your Soul Calling

If you’re going to live a purposeful and enriched life from your soul, then you have to listen to its wisdom. As a psychic and a medium, I believe that most of the drama in our lives can be attributed to times when we don’t live in harmony with our inner-guidance. Your soul knows what it wants and needs. If your body and mind are not in alignment with your soul, then you can easily become off-balance and the outside world starts to manifest what’s happening on the inside.

Equally, there will be times in your life when you know that your soul is screaming out to you, especially when you keep thinking in your head over and over: “What am I doing?” or “I really have to start to get a grip on my life!” or “I can’t keep living this way!” We often ask these questions when we’re going through an emotional or traumatic time in our lives. When these questions arise (and trust me they will), it’s just another way that your soul is trying to get your attention. I refer to these screams as Soul Cry Outs. Do you know what your soul is trying to say to you? It’s screaming: “Hey! It’s me – your soul. You’ve not paid any attention to me!” Your soul wants to let you know that it’s there for you and wants to help you.

Your soul is an integral and fundamental part of you and it’s constantly feeling and listening to everything that’s happening in and around your life. It will send signals to your psychic and physical senses, most commonly sent through your dreams. It can even work when you meet strangers in your life who somehow bring with them a hidden message. You know those times, when you meet someone and you feel as though fate brought you together, but yet you don’t really know why. It’s quite likely that their soul is trying to give you a message that your soul is going off-track and by meeting this stranger, they encourage you to simply check-in with your own soul and let it help guide you back to your true destination.

I’m sure that you can think of a time when you were alone and such thoughts were going through your head: “I have to get my head together. How did I get here? Where am I going?” This is that special much needed time when your inner guidance is asking you to check in with it. Your inner guidance will always bring up a thought, an action, or even manifest a situation in your outside life – to get you to STOP and think of what is in front of you. A decision or choice is presenting itself once again, and by acknowledging and listening to your soul, you’ll be able to tap into its wisdom and guidance.

As I write this newsletter, I am in the middle of getting ready to sell my condo and buy a new house, and both are happening at the same time. I am traveling, writing and lecturing, all while packing and being surrounded by boxes. Yes, of course I know “that’s life,” but it can be overwhelming for many of us, including me. People around me have commented that I should try to slow down, and to follow my own advice to: “Just breathe and take it a moment at a time.” When I heard this it was my clue to once again ask myself, “John when was the last time you checked in with your soul?” Well, once I did, I seemed to be more focused and calmer as I get ready to begin this next phase in my life.

If this newsletter resonates with you, no matter what you’re going through, then this is your message to stop and let your soul help. Next time this happens, and you’re faced with a decision or choice, or you find yourself making the statements I mentioned earlier, try asking yourself:

“What would my soul want me to do?”

John’s Lesson

Intuition flows on the breath. It’s also filled with the universal energy that permeates every aspect of your well-being. For this simple exercise, I want you to just close your eyes and breathe deeply, a few long deep breaths in and out.

Relax and let your awareness bring you back into your body. Follow your breath to the quiet, still place within your heart. Take a few breaths into this area and continue to relax until you feel grounded. Your body and mind will begin to grow quieter with each breath. Let your thoughts come in, just simply notice them, and watch them go out again. Imagine in your mind’s eye that as you breathe in and out, pure universal energy is running up and down your spine. As this energy flows through your body, it’s clearing and spinning your energy centers (chakras) as your soul becomes infused with source energy.

Next, bring your awareness into your solar plexus area, and ask your intuition and your soul if there’s something it wants to tell you. Breathe and pause here for a moment, acknowledging whatever comes. As with so many of the exercises we’ve done together in these Soul Inspirations, I recommend that you keep your soul journal nearby, so you can journal your thoughts, as well as those soul flashes and intuitive messages.

This exercise is also great if you have a decision or choice that needs to be made. Get a post-it note and stick the following affirmation on your computer or someplace where you’ll see it clearly every day. It will be a reminder to check in with your intuition and your soul before you hastily move forward.

“I pause and ask before I act.”
