Sergio Magaña: The Toltec Secret

Temixoch, is the word nahuatl to describe the lucid dream, literally means flowered dream. But in the tradition the same word was used to describe altered states in which you join your tonal and nahual, awake and sleeping to see different realities. Ensoñación is the spanish word, dreaming while awake, to the state that you can induce with plants as peyote, or your breath in and movement of the eyes in certain angles to enter in different perceptions.

It is said that dreams have at least 4 times the power of the waking state, because you are completely in your cave, unconscious, with no mind and is where you can program yourself deeper to create change.

Jill V. Mangino: What is the “Tonal” and “Nahual” and why is it important to understand the difference?

Sergio Magaña: Tonal. Comes the word Tonatiuh, the sun. Literally means who you are awake with the sun. Your personality created by your mind. Nahual. The one that you are sleeping and death. The energetic body that you use every night for dreams, and also the one that remains after your physical death.

Jill V. Mangino: As a modern day Mexican mystic and messenger, what is our core message you hope to share with readers.

Sergio Magaña: A message would be: Don´t waste the third of your life that you spend sleeping in total black out, use it to create your life, to be a prophet, to explore what hasn´t been explored, but for few in the last thousands of years. Also live fully your life. Tragedy is not to die, is not to live, and that includes your dreaming state.
