Susan Miller: AstrologyZone 2016
OMTIMES: Is it helpful for you to picture a particular person in the sign you are detailing in each of the AstrologyZone 2016 episodes?
Susan Miller: I never think of a sign as one big group, but rather I think always in the singular. I tend not to think of friends I know of that sign either because thinking that way may influence me too much to know what they are going through at the time—I need to stick t what the math tells me. I think regarding the one unknown person who might be listening to me or reading me as I work. You, my reader, are an individual, and I want to honor that uniqueness in you.
OMTIMES: Besides your Solar sign is it important to know your full chart? How about the Rising sign?
Susan Miller: Yes, the rising sign is SO important. It is the reason that all signs are not alike. For example, you may be an Aries, but if you have Cancer rising, we have to blend the two signs and all beautiful qualities and talents that those two signs bring to you. We need to add the planets in your natal chart to come up with a complete picture of you.
It’s vital that you know you have TWO charts, one for your Sun sign, and one for your rising sign, and to read both. Most people do not know they have two charts. If the forecasts should ever conflict, say, if your sun sign’s outlook shows you may be short on cash (Scorpio) at various points of the year, and the other, rising sign (Leo), shows a generous financial outlook, then your cash flow will not be as tight as it would be for friends you know who are members of your Sun sign—Scorpio. With just a little effort, you will be doing fine.
It is especially important for a cusp baby to know his or her chart because the planet that rules that sign must be examined by the placement in the chart and the conversations that key planet is having with the other heavenly bodies in the chart. Besides, wouldn’t you like to know if you are an Aries or a Taurus if you were born on April 19? You were born one or the other, and the only way to know is to do a chart.
