Susan Miller: AstrologyZone 2016
I love to travel, so that’s where the fun is found in my life. I work especially well on airplanes, and love to be in the sky writing—I am sometimes disappointed it is time to deplane! I think, “Couldn’t the pilot twirl around for another two hours? I haven’t finished my article yet!” Even when I travel, however, I have to block out days that I write from sunrise to sunset. I am very careful when I choose hotels, for I need enough pillows and light in the room to work. I need room service sometimes at midnight when I realize I never ate dinner. As I say, I write in disappearing ink, so I always have to have new material to give my readers.
* We’ve been hearing lots of buzz about AstrologyZone being one of the featured apps on the Apple Watch and the top-grossing app. Can you tell us how that happened?
I am grateful the readers love my app, “Susan Miller’s Astrology Zone Daily Horoscope”. (Search “Susan Miller” and my name will come up first). The app is free, and readers can try the premium, longer, richer version for $4.99 for one month to see how they like it. Over 87% of my readers go for the premium version because they get so much more of my writing. (This is how I made Apple’s Top 10 Grossing Apps–referring to subscription–for 26 straight weeks.) However, even with the free version, the reader will get a daily tidbit along with the entire monthly horoscope I write (all 48,000 words), the app is often posted several hours before my website’s update. I write the daily horoscopes three months in advance, so they go up on time, like clockwork.
I have two different teams: one in San Diego (for the app) and one in Austin (for my website). So the Austin team of engineers, have many more links to test before we post as compared to the engineers working on the app, so it takes longer to post my monthly Internet report.
