Book Spotlight – Dear Human

by Courtney A. Walsh

Dear-Human_Book-CoverIn 2014 the Dear Human meme went viral on Facebook and was shared by Elizabeth Gilbert, Khloe Kardashian, The Chopra Center, Arielle Ford and sites like Global Conversation. Remarkably the meme was shared well over 10 million times, was reportedly used in wedding vows, Yoga studios, 600,000 German advent calendars and even in a one–woman show. One fan even tattooed the meme the length of her torso!

However, Courtney A. Walsh the creator of the meme had way, way, more to say to humans than the Facebook post would allow. Hence – the book, Dear Human: You Were Born to Be Real (Findhorn Press, March 2016), which she describes as a love letter and wake-up call to humanity that uses humor, sass, reverence and a conversational, relatable tone to invite the reader to ponder, play and try on new ideas. She calls it a manifesto of love, invitation and invocation to humanity.

Dear Human is refreshingly candid, often hilarious and insightful. It is the key necessary to unlock a whole new way of thinking… it is progressive and expansive. It provides insight to the soul that many of us have either a) never seen or b) overlooked in our travels on this earthly plane.

Dear Human asks the reader to embrace our glorious messiness, to love to the best of our ability, to continue to learn and grow, to be willing to show up and get out of the way. It blows up old programs and conditioned ways of thinking and expands the reader into new ways of thinking about timeless themes. It asks us to merge and honor our divinity and humanity equally.

“Courtney A. Walsh knows what’s up! She also knows what’s down, what’s sideways, what’s twisted and what’s broken. In short, she knows what it is to be HUMAN. I am deeply impressed with her wisdom, and incredibly grateful for her story!” ~Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love
