Deborah Livingston: Seven Principles of Spiritualism

Deborah Livingston

When we leave the earth, there is no real divine judgment, but everything is re-assessed. We must take stock and evaluate our lives from a different perspective.

Could we have done it better? There are Compensation and Retribution for all our decisions, good and bad, here and hereafter.

SHAY PARKER: Powerful. One thing you said in there which really struck me is it affects our spiritual growth. I think many people do not consider that when they are perhaps acting out in a way that they should not be acting out. We’re not trained, to think “Oh, this will affect my spiritual growth.” A lot of people live in the moment, in what they feel. That’s strong stuff, Deb, that’s powerful stuff.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: It is, and you know I just have to come back to we are human. I’m human, you are human, but we’re all sold this eternal fear of having this human experience. When I’m having a bad moment, I try to look and see where I could possibly be fitting into one of these Seven Principles. Because I know they could help me move past it or help somebody else move past there.

SHAY PARKER: That’s a really, really good way to do it. It returns you to a grounding where you actually have to focus on something different from the everyday experience that’s freaking you out or whatever the case may be. If nothing else, it’s a fantastic grounding technique to remove you and refocus you when you’re going through something very challenging.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Without a doubt and all of this has helped me understand that most people walk their life journey knowing only one of their consciousness’s. I know all my “three”: My seeded spirit self, who’s the witness/observer of my other two consciousness’s. One of those being my awake consciousness, and then the other one is the ego. So that really, really pulls me back and says, “Look. You’re just this thread, here, with everybody else’s thread.”

SHAY PARKER: You’re just a grain of sand in the ocean, literally. As a Professional Spiritualist, how you actually utilize these in your daily life to overcome the obstacles you face. Tell us about the final Seventh Principle.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Absolutely, and the number Seven is by no mistake. There are seven days and Seven Principles. The Seventh Principle is Eternal Progress open to every human soul.

We’re all just a collective human family suffering through this Pandemic.

Eternity doesn’t begin when we pass. Progress is open to all now, this exact second that we’re seeking today on this radio show. Any actions we take or intend should be positive because we should take this as an invitation to change. This is our chance, right now, during these traumatic and emotional moments on earth.

We need to take this as an opportunity to promote our soul/spiritual growth and progression and create a positive reaction from what we’re handling. Adversity is darkness, but without the darkness, we can’t appreciate the light. So, there’s always going to be an opportunity to develop and move forward.

No-one is ever deprived of this internal progress. We’re all in this together. One big family here. Without these seven principles, I might be on the floor in a ball right now, to be honest. It’s not been easy, but this is the reason we’re here to pick up and use this as a learning curve and to grow from it.

SHAY PARKER: Yes. For the people out there that may be just starting out and the people who have lost their jobs through Covid, how would you say that these Seven Principles can help? Do you feel that they have really helped you grow in your business?

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: I absolutely do because part of who I am I take on that Personal Responsibility Principle because this is my life purpose. I’m here to encourage, support, help guide, and place positive seeds in my clients’ lives. There are a lot of people who have lost loved ones. Many people are on pause without a job, but many of them look at it as a positive because now they are able to sit back and create that plan.

They can follow their heart and change their career into something they’ve always wanted to do. I had a client today. He was a salesman, and he’s in his 70’s. He decided he wanted to write his Father’s life story who was a Drycleaner in New York City.

I met his sister, whose Father had had another wife on the subway, way back then. This gentleman in his 70’s is such an inspiration because he’s taking his past and turning it into a positive. These are challenging times, and if we don’t use it as an invitation, then what are we going to do if we don’t use it as an invitation to change.

SHAY PARKER: That’s right, and we cannot lose ourselves in the dilemma of what’s going on that we forget why we’re here.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Absolutely. The only thing that I can do for those in such depths of despair is to send them positive energy and pray for them. Because there are specific fears of having a human experience that can drive us to the point of despair, they too can turn it around.

SHAY PARKER: Yes, they can. These seven principles are a great place to start because they really are the basics of everybody’s life. It doesn’t matter who you are, race, creed, religion, sect, wherever. Even what financial status you are in. These are based on human spiritualistic principles that, no matter where you are in your life, can, I believe, help you. Help the people around you.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Definitely. For me, it’s just a way of life. I try my best to be kind to everyone. If somebody cuts me off in the road, I’m not going to get upset about it? Of course, I’m human, but I’m quicker to pull myself back and say, “It’s OK. He’s in a hurry. I’m not.” I try to laugh about it, right? It is just not worth bringing myself to the negative energy at all anymore.

SHAY PARKER: That is particularly good advice. Can you imagine all these people, hundreds and thousands and millions of people putting a bunch of negative energy and thoughts and emotions and words into the world? We know that that your words and your energy, they matter. They scientifically experimented on plants. They were treated exactly the same, precisely the same amount of water, same sunlight, the same room temperature, and same fertilizer, everything identical. Several plants they spoke to with nice calming words and said, “You’re beautiful, you’re wonderful, you’re growing so well.” The other plant they were speaking insults to.

Every time the plants that were spoken kindly to grow much faster than those that had negative energy pushed towards them. So, I found that fantastic. The same thing happens with water crystals. They tested frozen water crystals and did the same exact thing, and they had the same results. I just find that fascinating.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Yes. I know that scientific test about the water. It was Happy Water versus Sad Water, and then they froze it. The Sad Water barely made a crystal, but the Happy Water was a beautiful, individual snowflake.

SHAY PARKER: That, to me, just blows my mind. It’s water. If you think how powerful that is with water, imagine people. Imagine the people treated with ugliness and hatred and negativity and the ones who are feeling that. I firmly believe that this is why we have disease and illness and cancers and sickness.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Well, you’re on to something there, and this is why I studied as many areas of energy as I possibly can. The Chinese Medicine Belief System says that all illness and disease is the result of an abundance of emotion.

SHAY PARKER: Makes total sense.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: Cancer or abnormal cells. Our cells are like little computer chips. They remember from the moment we were born to this exact second. If those cells are sad, they’re going to get sick.

SHAY PARKER: Your body is 80% water. Let us take that analogy of the negativity within the water and place it into your own body. It is mind-blowing.

DEBORAH LIVINGSTON: I find energy fascinating.
