Healing & Recovery – Day 8

30 Days to Healing and Recovery Day 8 by Dana Jacoviello

Step 8 of the 12 Things That MUST Be On Your Everyday “To Do” List

  1. Pray, meditate, draw, or paint, or whatever provides you with quiet creative time for yourself for at least ten minutes of everyday. Take deep breathes in and out and keep your eyes closed even if you decide to draw or paint and  see what you mind and not your sight creates. This might sound impossible or unorthodox, but I have done this myself. It does not matter if it is a master piece, you will see something in it if you look deep. It represents your images and thoughts at that very moment. It tells a story. Turn the lights down and turn on some soft music or nature sounds. You must be relaxed or in complete silence is fine too. This is time for self reflection. When we are alone with ourselves some of the greatest thoughts will come to you during this time. You must clear you mind first. Keep your focus away for out of control thoughts or bodily senses that are distracting. I guarantee you will find answers to long asked questions and so much more will become clear to you. You will walk away completely relaxed and in sync with your body and soul. We all need that time with ourselves that we rarely, if ever, take.
