What if we don’t create our own reality? What if there is a single reality and the laws and truths within it are universal and apply equally to everyone? And yet, within each one of us lies a tremendous untapped power that we don’t understand. Brennan defines “self-realization as living your life in deep accordance with the highest good of all.” How does understanding the true nature of the unseen world help us attain this? Join us for an insightful conversation on power, self-realization and truth with Brennan Murphey.
About Guest Brennan Murphey
Born in Taos, New Mexico, site of the oldest still-inhabited Native American pueblo in North America (continuously inhabited for over 1000 years), Brennan was baptized at birth by the Tiwa medicine man Joe Sunhawk. Enjoying a privileged childhood as the son of singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey and the fashion model Mary Murphey, he took a deep interest in spiritual matters from an early age. He began walking his spiritual path at the age of 9, when the master yogi Swami Shyam took him under his wing and began teaching him the arts of meditation, yoga, pranayama and mantra magic in the Vedic tradition of Vyaas and Patanjali. At the age of 13 he made his initial journey to the Himalayas, where he received his first set of teachings from Swami Shyam at the International Meditation Institute in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. He returned 4 more times, spending a total of 11 months of his life in the Valley of the Gods. At the age of 25 he was initiated into the Western Mysteries in Seattle, Washington by Theresa Bullard and thereafter studied with Gudni Gudnason and various teachers in the Rocky Mountain Mystery School (now the Modern Mystery School) for two years before breaking off from that organization in 2008 to begin his own independent spiritual healing and teaching practice, the Interlight Mystery School.
He has counseled and healed many since that time, and has lost count of the number of people he has helped. In 2011, Brennan lost his lover, Susan Masri, to lung cancer. He experienced a profoundly transformative grief, which gave him a whole new appreciation for life and a renewed sense of purpose. He emerged from his grief in 2012 with a deep sense of urgency to continue his mission of helping hearts liberate themselves from the bonds of fear and assisting in the conscious evolution of all humanity. After a nine-year journey across the world, he has returned to Taos, New Mexico where he currently lives with his family and enjoys life to the fullest while bringing radiant loving righteousness to the world.
