During a bicycle ride, Nancy Rynes was struck and almost killed by an SUV driven by texting driver. During surgery to repair her traumatized spine, Rynes, a scientist and atheist, died on the operating table and was transported to a heavenly realm where she experienced love, beauty, and spiritual wisdom on a grand scale.
