Wendi Knox – From Muck to Magic – An Uplifting Journey

Imagine this. You’re a woman of a certain age. You’ve enjoyed a very successful career, having a wonderful family and the flow of life seems just perfect. Suddenly, your career is no more and you begin to doubt yourself and whether at “your certain age” you have the wherewithal to start anew. At your lowest point, something mystical and wonderful happens and it opens your mind and heart to the realization that you can lift yourself up and fly once again!

The story I just shared was lived by my guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Wendi Knox. Wendi was an award-winning Creative Director at one of the largest advertising agencies in Los Angeles but like many of us at mid-life, her soul was longing for something more. Suddenly, at age 50 she lost her job and began questioning whether she was too old to reinvent her life. She asked the universe for a sign and she got it!

Wendi shares her experience through her uplifting blog, creative workshops, inspirational speeches, and private sessions. She’s a regular contributor to Maria Shriver’s Architects of Change and was featured on Rita Wilson’s Voice of Strength Series on The Huffington Post. Wendi is grateful for her husband Will, son Landon, fur-baby Blossom and the magic of living in beautiful Ojai, California. She joins me this week to share her story and her just published book, From Muck to Magic – An Uplifting Journey.
