Judith Halbreich – The Audacity to be Divine

Aired Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

Vox Novus Victor Fuhrman OMTimes Radio

With the recent one-year anniversary of my mother’s passing, I shared my joyous memories of her life, her dedication to my brother, sister and me, and the lessons she taught us about faith, strength, awareness, and compassion. We were blessed to have her as our mother and many of our friends thought of her as a saint. I recently learned of a woman who many consider a true saint. Her name was Mary Mrozowski. Mary was a quintessential New York housewife living in the depth of despair. Bearing the secret of her family’s tumultuous past, Mary reclaimed her truth and strove for redemption against all odds – transcending as a social activist, international organizer, and spiritual leader for the masses.

Joining me this week on Vox Novus is Judith Halbreich, Mary’s daughter. Judith shares the true story of her mother’s life and work in the new book The Audacity to be Divine. Judith Halbreich, throughout her lifetime of advocacy work, has focused on the importance of all children having a home base and continuous mentorship. She is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a successful executive career in social services, clinical research and mental health. She’s the founder of the Home of Champions, a New Paltz-based non-profit organization aimed at developing youth emerging from the foster care system into self-sufficient leaders. When she is not working for the Home of Champions, you can find Judith making delicious Moroccan tagine or dancing the salsa in her living room. Her website is https://theaudacitytobedivine.com/ and she joins me this week to share her mother’s story in her new book, The Audacity to be Divine.
