In 1997, the rock group Chumbawamba had a number one hit with the song, “Tubthumping.” The lyric said, in part:

“I get knocked down, but I get up again
You are never gonna keep me down!”

That chorus shared a great wisdom; to not allow adversity to stop us from living our fullest life and doing it with J – O – Y.

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Barry Shore, is living proof that anyone can be happy, even a former quadriplegic! A remarkably successful and multifaceted serial entrepreneur, Barry Shore was afflicted suddenly in 2004 with a crippling disease that left him completely paralyzed overnight. But his journey to regain mobility pushed him to go “M.A.D” (aka to Make A Difference). He is now “The Ambassador of Joy” and has earned recognition across the globe. Barry Shore’s ridiculous accomplishments (in business, philanthropy, and his amazing health recovery) are matched only by his infectious enthusiasm and tireless effort to make a difference in the world. He spreads not only joy but also strategies to manifest it and use it for personal wellness and professional success. Simply put, Barry makes audiences smile as he inspires them to find joy no matter what adversities they face. His website is https://www.barryshore.com/ and he joins us this week to share his story.
