Sister Jenna – America Meditating
Aired Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST
This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. For me, my brother and sister, and for countless others, it will be bittersweet, having lost our mothers in 2020 and 2021. It will also be a time to reflect on how our mothers shaped our lives, the lessons they taught us and the examples they set. There are also millions who are caring for elderly and infirmed mothers and fathers, returning the love they received as children. This year, an estimated 6.2 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s Dementia. The changes in their habits and communications can make celebrating Mother’s Day with them a great challenge to their children.
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Spiritual Leader and renowned speaker Sister Jenna, credits her mother with Alzheimer’s to be her main spiritual influence and accepts her as who she is and respects all her differences and changes. The founder of Brahma Kumaris Meditation Museum I & II, Sister Jenna is a practitioner of Raja Yoga meditation. Sister Jenna is the recipient of numerous awards and proclamations including the President’s Lifetime National Community Service Award, Everyday Hero Award by the Foundation for Better Life, and the Friendship Archway Awards. Her syndicated radio show, America Meditating, is a conscious and humanitarian radio show that engages conversations that provide listeners with inspiring ways to master the challenges we encounter on the journey of life. Her websites are https://www.americameditating.org/ and https://www.meditationmuseum.org/ and she joins me this week to share her path.
