Ted-Turner-and-MajellaWhat-Is-Going-OM_OMTimes-RadioSomeone once said that “Music is to the soul what words are to the mind.” And so, this week on What is Going Om, we’re switching our focus from thinking to feeling… from words that touch the mind to sounds and lyrics that bypass the brain and reach straight into the heart.

Returning to the show to share some tracks from their latest album “Divine Timing” are English guitarist, songwriter and singer, Ted Turner, best known for his work with the 1970s rock band, Wishbone Ash, and writer, poet, musician, and singer, Majella whose professional abilities, unique musical styles, and spiritual philosophies have blended to pioneer a new musical genre which fans have been quick to christen “New Age Soul.”

As with their first album, “Better Together,” “Divine Timing” is packed with original songs that not only promote positive messages about humanity, Earth, the plant and animal kingdoms, and our roles as guardians of a planet that is hurting, but also provide a timely reminder that the heart connection is where we overcome our greatest obstacles and live the fullest expression of who we really are.

You were way too easy on them. It’s more like elevator music than the second coming of Fleetwood Mac. Her voice has nothing extraordinary about it. She sounds the same as 100’s of other female singers you can hear in bars . I think Ted’s songs are just not interesting. He does not push himself to anything close to the achievements in song writing and guitar playing he had done with Wishbone. Maybe he just needs someone of Andy’s caliber to push him. This band is just too lackadaisical an effort to be interesting. It just shows without a challenge you just don’t improve.
