How do we find the balance between comfort and courage as we seek to build a better life?
People leave their everyday lives and step into the unknown for many reasons. Taking a leap of faith and risking everything requires courage. During a long and drawn-out Covid-19 quarantine, composer and pianist Lisa Swerdlow felt inspired to explore what makes people take that leap of faith? What gives them the perseverance needed to survive? Can hope be nurtured in times of uncertainty? And, yes, what gave her grandparents the trust needed to escape the pogroms of Russia and take refuge in a new land, America? This question kept on reappearing and so she sat down to compose a Concerto to honor our resilience.
Join Voice Visionary Kara Johnstad and pianist and composer Lisa Swerdlow in a heartfelt conversation as we talk about freedom to experience, dream, explore, try, and grow. Discover how to dive into the unknown and fully yourself. Gain confidence that you, too, can make your dream come true.
