Higher Ego Power and Difficulty Forming Close Relationships with Family and Friends

This week on “It’s Your Ego—Stupid!”, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of forming close relationships with family and friends and how higher ego power can get in the way of this happening. This energy, for those entrapped in it, undermines their ability to use important tools needed to build close relationships. These include the ability to listen to people and not just dominate conversations. The ability to be open to compromise in meeting the needs of others and not just their own. A willingness to express and receive compassion and understanding, when necessary. And, an ability to create jointly within the relationship, rather than dictating how the relationship is to grow and what is going to take place in it. As adults they frequently live in roles such as Dictator, Narcissist, Control Freak, or Bully.
During the show, I’ll be looking at symptoms which can reveal the presence of higher ego power and reflections of ego stupidity that occur when this person is having difficulty forming close relationships with family and friends. This show will also look at specific insights needed to transform higher ego power into a healthier and more balanced place, with the use of ego medicine, and the impact of higher ego power on one’s spiritual wellness.
