Touch Me in Ways that Matter
Martha welcomes Bianca Briggs to discuss her own experiences as a dementia practitioner and the importance of touch in supporting not only the person living with dementia, but their supportive partners and loved ones as well.
Dementia is a degenerative brain disease that causes memory loss, with many of us thinking that if a person has dementia, they are not aware of life experiences, especially in the later stages of the disease. In this show, Bianca will share with Martha ideas around how to value the person with dementia and support the person who is caring for them in ways that really make a difference.
About the Guest: Bianca Briggs

Bianca works in a gentle compassionate way to find genuine practical solutions with long term benefits so that peace of mind and body is attained.
Bianca is a Reiki Practitioner, Essential Oils advocate and has over 30 years in the aged care field.
Bianca also has a son living with Aspergers Syndrome- a form of autism, and from this has developed her practices to work with many age groups.
