C.K. (Kelly) Collins was an award-winning publisher and owner of a hyperlocal news publishing company. She sold her company and retired from the industry. Believing that travel feeds the soul and grows the heart and mind. Collins, on a one year traveling sabbatical, wrote her book, The Swipe Right Effect: The Power to Get Unstuck, a nonfiction creative memoir that highlights great wisdom from friends both home and abroad.
After experiencing a significant loss, Kelly was searching for her new life, her new joy, and a new love. She chose to do the hard work to heal and found a new path to empowerment. She chose to swipe right for herself. This book is about swiping right for yourself, your new life, your hopes, and your dreams.
The Swipe Right Effect was born out of gratitude for all the grassroots support and wisdom shared with Kelly in her own recovery from divorce. She shares stories from her personal journey and interviews with ten special friends who shared their hearts.
The interviews include stories of pain and renewal from many forms of loss—loss of friendship, a child, a spouse, health, and marriage. Their unifying hope is that in reading their stories, you will find your way, your power, and your joy. Each chapter also contains an empowerment practice tied to the story so that the reader can work through challenges in their own lives. These practices include meditations, visioning tools, reframing methodology and affirmation guides that provide a path forward for those feeling stuck in their lives.
