Who can host?
OMTimes is looking for “consciously aware” people who are dedicated to presenting programs with positive messages of true expression that will empower people in all areas of their lives and the global [community] environment.
What does OMTimes radio expect from its Hosts?
1. Hosts must commit to broadcasting one Show program per week.
2. The one-hour weekly program will be scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time.
3. To comply with all copyright, legal issues and fees associated with playing copyrighted material.
4. To provide shows and topics that both educational and entertaining and at the same time keep the cordial rules of engagement and Radio etiquette; See our Host manual for clarifications on this topic.
What type of Commitment is required of a Host?
OMTimes Media requires commitment to a minimum three-month contract for broadcasting on our network. The Host obliges to deliver quality content, with positive language and attitude with themes that are aligned with the demands of the Conscious Community.
What are the types of programming does OMTimes Radio offer?
Programs are accepted and scheduled based on the following:
1. Areas of focus. Our Shows are very relevant assets to the conscious and Holistic communities, therefore, our programmed shows should serve specific niches for spiritual seekers, and all the inquiring minds are in the pursuit of knowledge and guidance in any subject pertaining to a conscious lifestyle. For instance, topics such as Conscious Parenting, Spiritual Guidance, Holistic health, Spirituality, metaphysics etc., would be given preference over a more generic format.
2. Quality of Programming: Hosts who will help us spread the word about living an abundant, blessed, positive, and practical life to our global audience will be given preference.
Do I need any special Training to become an iOm.fm radio host?
Becoming an OMTimes Radio Host really is quite simple. Any training you might need is minimal and we will help you every step of the way. Our engineers do most of the work, our voiceover professionals build and create your Intros, Outros, and rejoining spots, and all you have to do is what you do best — talk about what you know. You can easily interview guests and more. Contact us to become a host and we will take care of the rest. We are committed to help you do your show with ease and peace of mind.
Can I have a co-host or multiple guests on the show at one time?
Yes. If you are co-hosting it is extremely important to set clear goals, agree on the direction of the show and decide how the division of labor between the two of you will be organized.
Having multiple guests is termed as a round-table show and are usually recorded with guests brought in over Skype whilst the host leads everything from the “studio”.
Will I be able to interact with my listeners?
Yes.
What is a Radio Concierge, and what are the responsibilities of the Radio Concierge?
For all purpose, The OMTimes Radio Concierge is your Show’s case manager.
The OMTimes Radio Concierge is responsible for helping you decide which broadcasting package is most comfortable for you and will continue to be your primary source of communication for everything related to your contract and weekly shows details.
Once you have made your choice and committed to the contract of your preference, the Concierge will then train you in how to utilize our broadcasting software, will address your concerns, just like an ombudsman.
The Radio Concierge will be the communication between you and the software engineers, and is the person to whom you send your show updates, your tweeters by at least one week in advance of airing.
