Dr. Nickolas Martin, Host of It’s Your Ego—Stupid!
Dr. Nickolas Martin has master’s degrees in the areas of social work (MSW, University of Pittsburgh/1978) and school psychology (MA, California University of Pennsylvania/1981) as well as a doctoral degree in education (Ed. D, Indiana University of Pennsylvania/2000). He is also a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nickolas Martin’s professional experiences include working as a therapist and diagnostician at the Mon Valley Mental Health/Mental Retardation Clinic (1979-2002), a university professor at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the psychology dept. at California University of Pennsylvania (1985-2013), and serving as a consultant serving disabled persons for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (1987-present).
Dr. Nickolas Martin’s professional activities include being a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and being the author of three books. The Ego Unmasked: Meeting the Greatest Challenge of Your Life (Dorrance Publishing/2010), Ego Therapy: A Method for Healing Your Whole Self (Balboa Press/2015), and It’s Your Ego—Stupid!: Fix It to Fix Your Life (Balboa Press/2019). He also co-authored with his spouse and spiritual mentor, Rev. Dr. Linda M. Martin, EgoSpiritualism: Awakening to Your Human and Divine Self (Balboa Press/2015) and The Two Voices Within: Balancing the Energies of Ego and Spirit to Enhance Your Life (Balboa Press/2015).
Dr. Nickolas Martin was born (09/20/54) and grew up in Pittsburgh and has been a lifelong resident of southwestern PA, while presently residing in Belle Vernon, PA. He lives with his wife of 41 yrs., Linda, and they have three adult daughters. He was a scholarship athlete and captain of the track and field/cross country teams while an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh (1972-1976).
