You Deserve Your Dream: Building Self-Confidence To Meet Your Goals

by Mary Morrissey

Throughout our lives we have positive and enriching experiences that add meaning and value. Unfortunately we also have an inner voice of doubt and judgment that challenges our right and worthiness of such good fortunes. By learning to accept our “Self” and moving into a vibration of gratitude, we begin to attract the good our mind and heart desires.

  1. Stay focused on the good to heighten your self-confidence.  It is always your choice to perceive something as good or bad.  Do not be dismayed when life sends challenges your way; just call God in to reveal the lesson.  Then give yourself the same grace.  Know that you still have your “original innocence.”  Mistakes are not made out of evil; they are made out of ignorance.  God created you.  Therefore, you are inherently good.  Starting here and now, stop being a victim.  Know that you can be a co-creator of your own life and that you can benefit from every lesson over the course of our journey.
  2. Stepping into your dream life is nearly impossible if you’re carrying deadweight.  When you bring your past problems and the belief that you’re unlovable along with you, you have no room for new possibilities.  Set your obstacles free by acknowledging them and then releasing them, knowing that they no longer serve you.
  3. To help increase your sense of confidence and self-worth, implement more gratitude.  An “attitude of gratitude” creates a space for you to build your dream with a solid foundation.  Start by showing gratitude to those you’ve condemned.  After that, start a practice of daily thanks.  When you are grateful for those you have criticized, the energy surrounding the object of your appreciation heightens, magnetizing even greater good.

Deeply believe in your dream, or you will fall short.  God already knows you are perfect; now is the time for you to believe in yourself.  With God’s help, you can find that exquisite core you’ve kept hidden away and bring it out into the light.
