Recharging Your Energy at a Sacred Site
When we need to recharge, revitalize or rejuvenate ourselves, we often go on a retreat to a place where we can relax and feel more connected either to ourselves or to our soul’s purpose for being here.
When selecting a place to go on retreat, you may want to research sacred places. Sacred places are not necessarily religious sites; they can be a special place that is revered as being naturally special. Most sacred places are pilgrimage sites where people travel great distances to receive the blessings of a special place or just to be in its energy. People are searching for and often receive divine blessings, healing or spiritual transformation in these places.
What makes a place sacred seems to be a combination of the intrinsic seemly supernatural energy of the place with the deep reverence people give the place when they go to pray or meditate there. Certain sacred sites are very powerful and have palpable energies that everyone can feel. It’s almost as if these sites are bathed in divine energy. Some sacred sites are in places of great natural beauty, or perhaps where a miracle occurred, or where a saint was born or died and often times places where their remains are still there.
Sometimes sacred sites are situated on intersections of ley lines, which are electromagnetic lines in the earth. In these intersections you can feel vortices or vortexes of energy. Sedona, Arizona is a famous place for these vortexes.
