Mental Conflict

Do you have mental conflict?  Is there a decision that needs to be made right now? Are you holding yourself back by not moving forward in making that decision? If you answered, “YES” then maybe this article is meant for you at this exact time!

Recently I made the decision that it was finally time for me to move out of my condo and buy a house for the first time in my life. I have wanted to do this for the past few years but kept putting it off. Maybe I thought it was too big a task to do alone, maybe I wasn’t ready, maybe it was past negative programming playing in my mind, or simply… maybe I was lazy! Whatever it was I finally felt it was the right time and made the commitment. I even had a good friend Kerri Richardson who is a wonderful Life Coach start me on the process by making me make another commitment – to just call the realtor! I did. That one phone call to the realtor started the whole ball rolling. Now I have the confidence and have affirmed that the “perfect house” is coming to me!

The past couple of years, I talked about moving so much with my current neighbors that it became a regular joke because up until now, I believe they thought it would never happen! Many of us have lots of decisions to make each and every day, and I find that when we procrastinate it causes us mental conflict and we don’t move forward in different areas of life. Also when this happens, don’t be surprised if your outside world starts to show your inner conflict. What do I mean by this? Well, when we are stuck in our heads and not moving forward, you may notice your house is getting cluttered, your desk has too many papers on it, your kitchen counter is no longer for food and becomes your storage table, or maybe your bedroom has now become not just a place to rest, but a dumping ground for all your clothes! I find it helpful that when this happens to me, I have to stop and ask myself: “What area of my life am I avoiding?”

You all know how much I love doing my radio show “Spirit Connections” each and every Monday on Hay House Radio. Just last week a caller was asking about making the decision to start a healing business and wasn’t sure how to move forward. It just so happened that my guest on the show that day was Ann Hentz, who is a Tarot Master and teacher. We both advised the caller that she could in fact do this. I felt her heart and soul were in it, and her intuition was pulling her to move forward with the decision. During the call, I also pulled a card from my Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck, which confirmed what I was feeling. If you’re also trying to make a decision right now, perhaps using my deck as a tool in making your decision will be of help to you.

I chose this Mental Conflict tarot card because it reflects exactly what I am trying to express: This card deals with the inability to move forward, as self-doubt emerges from indecisiveness or not being able to take action with a person, group, or even a situation in your present life. It may not be an easy decision, but you’re already of aware of this. Just remember that you have the strength, courage, and power to make all the necessary considerations. When you decide to act and finally make the choices that need to be made, then and only then will a resolution be forthcoming — and with it, a sense of mental relief.

There’s assistance out there for you, so seek out and listen to wise counsel to help you make the right decisions. Listen to your intuition and have faith in yourself. Peace and harmony will soon be yours.

John’s Lesson

If there is a decision or more than one decision that needs to be made then start slowly. Try to do at least 3 things every day that will move you closer to making that decision or commitment. By the end of your 5 day week, you can say:” I did 15 things that brought me closer to what I want.”

Also, if you are thinking about changing careers or taking on a new hobby, then please, please, please, discuss it with someone or a group who is familiar with that career or hobby. Too many of us discuss our dreams and goals with people that aren’t familiar with the subject and will try to talk us out of it, or even put us down. If you want to be a nurse, then talk to a nurse, you want to do administration work, then talk to some that works in an office, you want to take dance lessons, then go watch a class and talk to the teacher.
