The Astrology Forecast April 2026 reads less like a celestial prediction and more like a cosmic dare, spiking the cosmic water supply with Red Bull as a sky with no retrograde planets ignites a sequence of Aries fire that leaves you with only one choice: run, don’t walk, into the future.
Astrology Forecast April 2026 – Feeling Stuck?
Listen to Astrologer Kathy Biehl discuss the Astrology Forecast April 2026.
Have you been feeling stuck? April will change that.
The month builds on the energy surges that locked into March’s equinox. It’s as if a cosmic hand is spiking the water supply with Red Bull and amphetamines. Or lighting a long-burning triple action candle – the type botanicas sell, with “alleged supernatural powers,” only this one has them for real, inflaming and speeding motivations and movements.
The month has an emphasis in Aries — proactive, go-getting, self-starting and risk-taking – in a sky with absolutely no retrograde planets. Combine impulsive fieriness and nothing dragging it down, and you’ve got a formula for fast action.
As if that weren’t enough, a sequence of conjunctions is keeping the Aries fires flaring, leading to the game-changing, tilt-a-whirl entry of Uranus into Gemini near the end of the month.
Much of the action is self-driven. We get relationship business out of the way early on. The Libra Full Moon April 1 or 2 lights up the state of our connections, with talk and refocusing in its wake. Mercury’s trine to Jupiter April 3 encourages supportive communication (with whining possibly in the mix). It’s a followup to March 9, when this pair trined when Mercury was retrograde.
Upping the ante is Venus’ square to Pluto, which puts some nonnegotiables on the table and encourages walking if they’re not met. (And succumbing to itches that demand scratching, even if they’re not healthy.) The drive to get what we want continues through April 5, when the Sun’s square to Jupiter encourages asking for more.
The next two weeks put the finishing touches on the past eight year’s distinctive brand of disruption, as one inner planet after the other makes its final contact to Uranus in Taurus. Goodbyes are anything but lingering, though. They lead to each traveler immediately entering Aries and fine-tuning their new-found fieriness with Neptune (dream!), then Pluto (focus!), and then Saturn (ground!), as if in an accelerated cosmic boot camp.
Mars leads off with a sextile April 8, opening doorways to jolts and sudden plot twists affecting waters, warring, and the economy. Be mindful of your money and technology; share resources with others, if you can. While aggression is probably in the mix, this sextile does offer a pathway to addressing some of the shake-ups and instability Uranus’ time in Taurus has birthed.
Temperatures, excitability and general energy surge when Mars enters his home sign April 9. Everyone’s jumping, leaping, and charging ahead without forethought, much less asking questions or waiting for permission. That takes on new colors when he meets Neptune April 13/14. The conjunction has the power to fuse your life force to higher guidance and raw creativity. Keep an eye out, though. Some people are going to come through it burning with religious fervor or mission, possibly believing that God is speaking directly to and through them.
What we’re thinking and talking about then begins the same transition April 14. Thoughts, messages and the media crackle with surprises, disclosures and different ways of viewing the past few years, when Mercury sextiles Uranus in Taurus. There’s no time for any of this to settle in; the discourse immediately erupts into passionate words, angry words, fighting words, “let’s get going” words as Mercury enters Aries. We’ll be arguing, pumping each other up (and in some cases, punching each other out), cheering each other on and reenacting that emblematic scene from the movie “Network” for a boisterous, and thankfully shortlived three weeks.
Mercury’s sign change coincides with moments of clarifying priorities, of cutting out energy drags, of choosing real (instead of feigned) power. Mars’ sextile to Pluto April 14 offers harmony between the gods of war and death. Use it to focus and embolden your actions. It also supports empowering collective action and, unfortunately, attacks on technology and systems and, also unfortunately, attacks in general. The pace and pervasive hotheadedness will complicate the usual advice of picking your battles. The best to hope for may be to catch your breath and check the direction you’re facing.
Remind yourself to do just that at the Aries New Moon April 17. Its location near the end of the sign, 27 degrees, continues the culminating vibe of the previous seven new moons and throws it into a bonfire fit for a phoenix.
The lineup blasts us out of the Piscean wrapping and mopping up vibe of the past few months and signals bold and dramatic new beginnings. They involve most everything – communication and systems, how we push ourselves forward, grounded creativity and guidance, longstanding wounds, angry men, even angrier women, and allocation of resources — with four planets joining the Sun and the Moon in Aries (Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Neptune), and a cluster of dwarf planets as well (Chiron, Eris and Ceres). Dream boldly and passionately and run, don’t walk, into the future.
Help arrives before we get too far down the road. Priorities clarify and conversations cut to the heart of matters when Mercury sextiles Pluto on April 18. Objectives and game plans take on solid form as Mars meets Saturn the next day and adds staying power to fiery impulses. The Sun’s move into Taurus that day helps out, reminding us of tangible aspects of existence that are worth taking the time to savor.
And then our racing minds and mouths find containment and direction. Mercury conjoins Saturn on April 20 – will the impact bring walls? Structure? Mastery? Wisdom? – and leaves that meeting to confab with Mars. Minds and motivation are aligned in phenomenal manifestation. Thinking or speaking ignites action; we’re not so much walking our talk as running with it. Or running someone over with it.
Relationships signal for attention April 23, when Venus joins Uranus for not only their last contact with him in Taurus, but his final aspect in the sign. Money, values, and resources are on the table and in for surprises. Shake connections snap, and so do some whose stress fractures have been out of public view. Situations that belong to the old order will not be coming along.
There’s little mourning and saying goodbye; curiosity and possibilities quickly divert our attention. Our social dealings lighten up and diversify, with a decided friends mentality following Venus’ entry into Gemini on April 24. We’re more interested in exploring options (and for some, creating multiple income streams) than in holding on to any one thing.
There’s more to shed before the month’s final big moment: a part of yourself that belongs to the old. Face demons; let go; move into a new expression of power as the Sun squares Pluto while Uranus enters Gemini April 25. Maneuverability is what you need, because the pace will only quicken.
We got a hint last summer of what’s in store, with the agent of awakening, liberating, volatile change in free-wheeling, multi-faceted Gemini. Uranus was briefly in the sign last year, from July 7 to November 8, and flirted with the connections he will be forging this July. This time, the shift is neither tentative nor exploratory, and it cuts off any path to the past.
It’s that radical a change. And we’ll integrate it personally and collectively come July.
The month’s final events cushion any future shock. Watch for a higher purpose at work when Venus sextiles Neptune on April 26. Earthbound experiences may feel blessed or simply happier. The two guardians of love and creativity are opening doorways to treating each other more kindly and to connecting meaningfully. And maybe to something heaven-sent.
Whichever way it goes, we won’t be quiet about it. Mercury’s square to Jupiter that day forces bold declarations, which could alert you to kindred spirits and would-be companions (suitors, even) that might have escaped your notice. You certainly won’t be shy about voicing your thoughts. We’ll all be making like kids in a classroom, waving violently for the teacher to call on them.
The month ends with consuming desires. We want what we want no matter what, drawn to them on a nigh-on cellular level, and even if they’re not exactly healthy for us. When Venus trines Pluto on April 26, friends become lovers; lovers become friends; friends band together in the fierce, fierce power of shared values, shared ideas, and love.
We’re not stuck; far from it. And we’re playing a very different game. Which love may win.
