There are many therapies aimed at helping people cope with psychological distress, depression and anxiety and most are aimed at helping sufferers get rid of their bad thoughts and feelings and encouraging good ones.

It’s called acceptance and commitment therapy, otherwise known as ACT

Dr. Diana Hill is a licensed clinical psychologist based in California and Colorado. Dr, Hill studied biopsychology (the physiology and neuroscience of behavior) as a premed student at the University of California Santa Barbara and pursued a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the ~University of Colorado before completing a year-long pre-doctoral internship in 2007 at University of California Davis Counseling and Psychological Services. She is the co-author of The ACT Daily Journal with Dr.Debbie Sorensen, which offers a practical guided 8-week program for integrating the core processes of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT.)
