Spirituality and creativity are intimately connected. The connection between spirituality and creativity is not just conjecture. Engaging in spiritual practices has a positive effect on a person’s health and well-being that is recognized by the medical community. Creativity is essential to help us solve the problems that we encounter in our daily lives and to help us to fill our lives with happiness. Improving our creativity helps us to cope with the stresses in life and welcome in more joy. Here are five spiritual practices than can boost creativity in your daily life.

 

1. Meditation and Yoga

Meditation and Yoga are excellent ways to combat stress and connect with our spiritual side. There are many different types of yoga, so be sure to try several out to find the one that is the right match for you. The long-term medical benefits include a reduction in diseases related to stress and a better overall feeling of contentment with life. Not only do they combat stress and improve physical health, medication and yoga can also help you tap into your fun-loving spiritual side, improving your creativity and ability to deal with life.

 

2. Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a method that uses scent to achieve calmness and can be a form of meditation. Certain scents such as lavender, bergamot, and eucalyptus stimulate the limbic system of the brain. This creates a calming effect and allows the creativity to flow. You might try sleeping with a little near your bed at night. Experimenting with different aromas can not only help you sleep better; it can also boost your productivity and focus!

 

3. Healing Stones

You might think the only reason to buy diamonds online would be to propose or create a stunning piece of jewelry, but did you know gemstones have healing benefits as well? Holding and having certain stones in your space are said to produce different effects on the body and mind. Often, our spiritual gifts for innovation and creativity are merely blocked up, and we just need to find the right way to release them. Find what would help You to de-stress and remember that it will help you be more productive and happier.

5. Connect with Nature

Connecting with nature is another way to reduce stress and increase your creativity. It does not have to be complicated. A simple walk outside can do wonders for your spirit. Stopping to smell the flowers is a way to remind yourself of the beauty and joy in every day. You could even start to keep a small garden, learn about local plants and animals in your area, and volunteer with local wildlife or animal shelter. Get outside yourself, and you will find more of yourself then you thought you had.
