November has surprisingly little astrological activity, compared to recent months. Instead, its thrust is working on what’s already in play – and there is certainly plenty of that.

We’re continuing to dig deep, to encounter revelations and realizations, and to adjust our realities to accommodate it all. Bumpy some of it will be, but surprising stability awaits at month’s end.

The vibe for the first half of the month is decidedly retrospective. Five planets are retrograde at the outset – Mercury and Venus, as well as Saturn, Uranus and Neptune – and one, Pluto, is motionless on the degree where it ended its retrograde last month.

He’s sitting under all the month’s action: ruling the Scorpio New Moon and, more importantly, insistently, persistently reconfiguring networks, communities, technology and alignment of power. The agent of unavoidable change is also relentlessly transforming anyone with placements between 0-6 degrees of any sign (but most dramatically of the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). It’s breaking the shells of metaphoric eggs, chipping away at cocoons, and drawing to the surface inevitabilities that have been stirring since March 2025.

Back to the retrogrades: Those of Mercury and Venus are the easiest to detect, because each is complicating the machinery of daily life. They’re the reason for confused communications; for past conversations, agreements and projects surfacing for reconsideration; for all manner of ghosts floating by, despite Halloween season having ended, at least according to the calendar. After having stirred so much messiness up in October, Venus is in “can’t we play nice?” mode (like a dog wagging its tail while covered in mud and worse from digging up the back yard). Meanwhile, Mercury is still deep in the messiness, bringing up secrets and betrayals and lies and other matters that have evaded the light of day.

There are benefits in this, of course. The dual retrogrades are inviting cleaning up situations, finishing old business, resolving disagreements and releasing connections, and reclaiming lost bits of our selves. Not everything that shows up deserves an ongoing place in your life, but all of it is worth revisiting.

While Mercury and Venus continue their work, retrograde Saturn steps to the fore at the beginning of the month, only to chime in again mid-month and at its end as well. He’s occasioning adjustments November 1, with an inconjunct to him from the Sun tweaking responsibilities, requiring us to assume obligations or commitment or simply be adults – or perhaps forcing obligations to reshape according to our purposes. Perhaps.

Mercury and Venus dominate the activity from November 4-13. We want more – harmony, connections, reciprocity, fairness, maybe just company – when a sextile opens a doorway between Venus and Jupiter November 4. And those desires aren’t pie in the sky, but grounded in intense clarity, from the Sun/Mercury conjunction (or cazimi) that same day. Their meeting takes all the digging about in the muck we’ve been doing the past few weeks and turns it into cellular-level knowing. Trust that.

The knowing leads to a shift in responsibilities and relationship to authority, from Mercury’s inconjunct to Saturn November 7. Make a note of what happens, because another shift is coming November 19, when the two connect again in the same aspect. The second one likely grows out of the Scorpio New Moon, which is on November 9 and seeds intense, powerful and focused phases.

And those mushrooming desires? A pathway opens to go after them but good, from Venus’ sextile to Mars November 10. We’re steeping in them as Mercury and Venus head for their direct stations November 13, with the usual accompanying sensation of time slowing. In the thick of it, lightning bolts and plot twists tweak thinking, messaging and perspectives when Mercury inconjuncts disruptive Uranus on the day of the direct station.

The turnaround flows into big, bold action. Mars meets Jupiter November 16 and everything mushrooms – agendas, self-promotion, grand gestures. It’s not a single burst of energy, but an influence that grows over days. Everyone gets an honorary entitlement gene from the Sun’s square to Jupiter November 18, which leads to everyone pushing themselves forward grandiosely, when the Sun meets Mars November 19.

Whereupon circumstances push for restraint and responsibility, courtesy of Mercury’s second inconjunct of the month. (Refer back to November 13 if necessary.) It’s unlikely they’ll feel overly restrictive, though. The Sun heads for free-ranging Sagittarius November 22 and trines Neptune the next day, unleashing creative possibilities and inspired adventures.

Newness and awakenings are all over the Gemini New Moon November 24. It’s radically updating thinking, messaging, social media and vehicles for information and traffic flow. They’re catching up with the changes we have been undergoing since July, revived now by the Moon’s joining radical change agent Uranus and collaborating as well with Neptune’s guidance and Pluto’s relentless mission of transformation.

The opportunity immediately follows to level up personal transformation, via the Sun’s sextile to Pluto November 25. No surprise; it’s not exactly a cakewalk. The process is challenging, uncomfortable and possibly not yet attainable, with the Sun also opposing disruptive Uranus.

Motivation comes to tackle practicalities and put in elbow grease, with Mars entering Virgo that same day. And those indulgent urges from the month’s start are back November 28, when Venus, now direct, sextiles Jupiter once again and encourages wanting more, more, more – and likely in new and improved ways. Radical, fundamental change is inevitable and unavoidable from Uranus trining Pluto. It’s the second of five trines between July 2026 and May 2028, and this one is, like the Gemini New Moon, building on July’s developments.

We then enjoy a moment to recover and to plant our feet on solid ground (or perhaps simply find an anchor). On November 30, after requiring adjustments at the start of the month, the Sun and Saturn are now trining, stabilizing personal agency, putting limits on authority, and fostering and even rewarding adulting.

The Astrology Forecast November 2026 tells you to listen to guidance as you proceed. Mars’s inconjunct to Neptune is beaming in impulses that affect your steering, your approach or the path ahead. That all stays in focus as November shifts into December and Mars gets a similar push from Uranus. Anticipate more to come, and follow your energy.
