The Oracle for 2015 – Illusions

Illusions – The over-riding, high level energies and directions for the year of 2015, which are changing everything as we shift worlds, are evolving around the illusions that we call our reality. Yes! Whether you know it or not we are cast into this illusion and 2015 is a year of cracking, piercing or busting out of that illusion or as many as we can. Are you ready? Well, ready or not we will be faced with one situation after the other that will provide us with the opportunity to pierce the veil of the illusion…sounds like an interesting year I think…do read on…
Now you may wonder what I mean by “illusion.” Generally speaking we think of “illusions” with regard to magicians and whether metaphysically or physically, we would be right as we are all magicians creating the illusion that is our life, our reality. However, the key is waking up to or becoming aware of, conscious of, the fact that this is all an illusion.
I remember the first time I heard that concept, that this is just an illusion. It was a long, long time ago which seems like a world far, far away but truth be told its been integrated into my spiritual practices for a long time too and evidentially is coming strong as a focus for those of us on the path throughout the year 2015.
As always, the Oracle likes to define its terms so when we look up the word “illusion,” we discover the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines illusion as “the action of deceiving, the state or fact of being intellectually deceived or mislead, misapprehension. Something that looks or seems different from what it is: something that is false or not real but that seems to be true or real.” Also, last but not least: “an incorrect idea: an idea that is based in something that is not true.”
What I think the Oracle is directing our attention to over the course of 2015, and I expect as usual, each month of the year will have a specific focus with regard to this concept, much like what happened with the breakthroughs and breakdowns through 2014 and the monthly perspectives as we went through those processes in 2014. We are now in new territory folks, so stay aware and alert.
With illusion as our focus for the entire year, the Oracle directs that the first part of the year we focus on knowing or recognizing that illusion is more about things not being what they seem and the opening of our eyes to the possibility that it is all just an illusion and then the second half of the year we focus on the deception part of illusion which is indeed a truth yet to be explored. Therefore, each month of this year of 2015 will give us a guidance, a direction, a signpost as we explore understanding, hmmm, what does illusion mean to me and how does it impact my spiritual path of expansion, growth and personal development.
To say that the world out there which looks so real is an illusion sounds like, I am sure, nonsense. It’s like when I say my new book is about how to be you and people look at me and say “Aren’t I me?”
It really is possible to see that it is an illusion out there but there are some steps along the path to help us come to that awareness. I am sure the Oracle will be directing our attention to that over the course of the year. One of the most important ones is understanding Who YOU Are. Are you your body? Do you think that bag of skin that you live in is you? There is an illusion to be dispelled if we can see that. Do you, can you, see or feel that you are something more than your body and your thoughts and that there is a consciousness that is you observing all of it? If/when we come to this awareness we have gone beyond the mind and that is where we truly expand and grow.
It is not hard to do. It may come on gradually or it may come on suddenly, we just dive within and go…and that is where we will find our truth on the matter of illusion and how we perceive it, or not. I think the most impactful thing I read which really brought the concept home to me was from a book called Spiritual Warfare by Jed McKenna.
As I continued to read his book, which was pretty much mind-blowing to me, from its perspective, I kept going back to a portion of the book that helped me keep the basic idea of the illusion we keep ourselves in: He says to think of a grasshopper caught in a spider’s web, injected with a non-lethal poison and then cocooned with layer upon layer of silk thread by the spider, kept alive for freshness but tightly bound to prevent thrashing or escape. It is alive but bears it no resemblance to its authentic grasshopper self. He says, in essence, this state of immobilized stupor fairly represents the Human Condition and the Spider fairly represents illusion.
Busting out of or at least loosening the bonds of our “cocoon” is what the Oracle is saying the year of 2015 will be about. The Year of 2012 was about Discernment. The shift from 2011 to 2012 moved each and every one of us from student/seeker to master/teacher of our own reality and to begin discerning for ourselves what we need to know, what we need to do and who we need to be.
The Year of 2013 was about Fearlessness. The same message from a different perspective: That is it was important to be Fearless without judgment, in 2013. Egos with spiritual ambition or needing to validate their spiritual significance may have confronted you and still may. It is usually important to hear the information, determine its value to you and your life, but understand and know at the heart level that only you know what you need to know, what you need to do, who you need to be and why.
Last year, 2014 was about Breakthroughs and/or Breakdowns. Yet again, the same message from a different perspective: The Oracle advised not resisting the changes that were needed in our lives. That as those breakdown and breakthrough cycles continued we would have great a-ha moments and then the feeling of satisfaction that comes from the knowing that we are changing and therefore growing. If we continue to release the resistance to the opportunity to change, the energies assist and support us in making the change.
And now we move into the energies of 2015-much is happening, much awakening is needed, much shedding of the old, the past, the hurtful, the things that no longer serve us and part of that is waking up to the illusions and how they have us hooked. Remember, we are self-aware, we are authentic, we are True Ones. We are beginning to be the change we want to see in the world, not being some else’s version of who we should be. There is change afoot for all of us. We are to breakthrough some of our illusions and loosen and expand who we are!
Our attention on finding out what the illusion is, how it impacts us and our personal growth, what it has to do with our ego…much will be revealed to us along the path this year! All of this practice, and the experiences it provides will bring us to a deeper perspective from which to exercise the expression of ourselves – deeper and deeper. Staying open to see the truth of the matters in front of us and their relationship to anything will truly ground us further within the bonds of Divine Love that hold it all together all the time no matter what and so remember…All We Need Is Love…it will truly sustain us on our journey through 2015.
