Traveling to Ethiopia as an ambassador for World Vision Australia, he met a young coffee farmer named Dukale, working to lift his family out of poverty.  As a result, Hugh launched Laughing Man Coffee promoting Fair Trade and the Laughing Man Foundation to support community development projects with the profits.  The movie Dukale’s Dream, opening this weekend, is the story of this journey.
