In 2007, Liane Queiroz and Christopher Buck connected across social media and created an organization named Humanity Healing to connect Healers with those in need of Healing, and Spiritual Seekers with those who could help them grow.  The Humanity Healing Community grew quickly to thousands of like-minded souls.

One of the fundamental principles of Humanity Healing is the belief that selfless service through Spiritual Activism is fundamental to spiritual growth. To learn more, read the 12 Keys to Spiritual Activism.

In 2009, Humanity Healing International launched its first humanitarian project, a Vocational Training Center for children in the refugee camp of Tegot Atoo, near Gulu, Northern Uganda with a fundraising campaign on GlobalGiving.  The war in Northern Uganda moved from relative obscurity to the headlines through the work of the organization Invisible Children and the atrocities and brutal actions against children by the rebel leader Joseph Kony became public knowledge.  Over the course of the 22 year civil war, an estimated 60,000 children were kidnapped: the boys being turned into child soldiers, the girls into slaves.

Liane Queiroz Buck, co-founder of Humanity Healing, approached several similar organizations to ask for public service announcements in their communities in order to raise awareness and funds for the project.  Surprisingly, and unfortunately, none of the approached organizations stepped forward to help the children of the refugee camps.
