Journeying with Trust

by Shelly Wilson

We are always getting ready to live, but never living. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Each one of us has chosen to incarnate at this time in order to have a human life experience in a physical body. This journey may include the proverbial roadblocks, pot holes, and pit falls.

Sharing my own personal story, I consciously made the decision to stop existing and to start living my life fully without regret several years ago. Doing so transformed my life in a multitude of ways. My perception of life and all of my life experiences shifted.  I recognized that from the moment we breathe the first breath of life, we are beginning to die, and there is no guarantee that we will live for any specific length of time. Therefore, I believe it is important to live each day as though it may be our last.

With this new-found awareness, I consciously began living my life, and I actively encourage others to do so as well. If you are not currently doing so already, allow yourself the opportunity to begin living your life fully right now. Do not wait until it is too late to do or say something that you want to do. Take time to stop and smell the roses as the adage goes. Consciously focus your energy in the present moment and become more mindful of what you are experiencing in the moment.

This journey into consciousness also involves a lot of trust. Trust that we are having the experiences we are intended to have for this incarnation. Trust that everything is happening how and when (and if) it is supposed to.

The Universe does not operate on human’s linear time with clocks and calendars; it functions on Divine time. The lower vibrational emotions of fear and worry serve no purpose other than creating more fear and worry. These two emotions go hand and hand inhibiting and creating blockages in our life. Fear tends to suppress living because we avoid taking risks in life. We are fearful of the outcome or what others may think of us, so we avoid taking the perceived risk altogether.

As I frequently convey, I feel like it is important for each one of us to honor all of the emotions we are feeling. There is no need to view the lower vibrational emotions, such as anger, frustration, guilt or shame, as bad or negative. Rather, we should simply be aware of them and how they restrict our flow of manifestation.

In addition, choosing change within your life and identifying the particular areas you desire change is essential.  It is equally necessary to begin taking time for yourself on a regular basis instead of waiting to do so on another day. Cultivating the relationship you have with yourself will nourish your soul resulting in a ripple effect in the relationships you have with others.

Furthermore, following the path that resonates with you as an individual regarding your life and spiritual journey is fundamental to your physical, mental/emotional and spiritual health. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and this includes meditation and the numerous modalities associated with well-being. Your connection to Source, Spirit, the angels, and your guides is your unique personal connection. Allow yourself to practice discernment and study or practice what feels right to you personally. Read the books you are guided to read. Take the classes you are guided to take. Follow the path that you are guided to take. It’s nice to know what others are doing, but let this human life experience be your own personal journey into consciousness. There is no right way or wrong way in spirituality – just YOUR way. Each one of us is at a different place on our life journey, and we must never compare our intended life experiences to another person’s journey.

As we continue to shift, change, grow and evolve, we will attain a greater understanding of seeing every experience as an opportunity for learning and growth.  Everything is happening exactly as it is supposed to in Divine time; we simply have to trust in the process.

Recognizing that not everyone will be able to readily digest or accept this statement with ease, especially when faced with challenges in life, I perceive that consciously choosing to see our life and all of its experiences will afford us the opportunity to see things from a different set of eyes – our soul’s perspective. We, as spiritual beings having a human life experience, are continuously growing, changing, shifting and evolving with each individual we encounter and every situation we experience.
