The Relaxed Soul: Angry and Don’t Know It
By Dr Paul Haider
A young girl lashes out at class mates, and stubbornly refuses to do what she is told and finds herself alone, yet at the same time doesn’t want to be alone… she’s confused. She feels angry, yet at the same time does not understand why she’s angry.
Another person takes on all the needs of others, giving of his time and energy for hours on end leaving himself feeling depleted, used up, and stressed out, so he starts eating lots of bread, and has an huge hunger for bread all the time. Again he’s angry, angry that he’s not loving himself, and that hunger… is really a hunger for Self Love.
We must remember that anger sooner or later morphs into depression if not worked with.
The best process is to release the anger in a safe way by:
Throwing rocks at a fence
Yelling in the car at night
Or breaking old dishes in the garage or any other safe way…
Letting all the anger out to the point that you start to cry, and then cry some more, and more. Then to forgive yourself with love, to forget, and move on with life, and meditating for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening – ever day. Thus one starts to understand the one you see in the mirror.
And then creating a mantra for yourself that says “I love myself unconditionally 24/7… I take care of myself first.”
For it’s impossible to love anyone else… before we love the one you see in the mirror.
