Satiama Writers Resource Wants to Help Writers Create a Personal Roadmap to Success

Award-Winning Mind-Body-Spirit Publisher Offers Mentoring Services to Writers and Authors at Any Stage

Satiama, LLC, a Colorado-based company whose published works have garnered more than 30 national awards and honors, has opened a new division – Satiama Writers Resource – to help writers bring their voice and their work to the world. For years, Satiama has informally mentored authors, artists, musicians and product designers through the publication, production, marketing and distribution process.  Now Satiama is making their expertise available through a set of cafeteria-style services to help anyone trying to bring a book, manuscript, CD or professional project to fruition.

From book concept review through multiple levels of editing, from writer mentoring through product and even marketing, Satiama Writers Resource offers a set of services to help writers to bring their voice forward to the world. Their highly experienced team includes the substantial writer mentoring and editing talents of well-known and highly acclaimed author Julie Loar, one of the winners of the 83rd Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.  It also includes the highly awarded book design and illustration services of gifted author and artist Susan Andra Lion, whose most recent book, How the Trees Got Their Voices, has received 12 national awards and honors. Karen Stuth, Satiama owner and co-founder contributes her more than 30 years of highly successful marketing, market research, publishing and writing experience to help Satiama Writers Resource offer a full-slate set of services.  “This is a core part of Satiama’s overall ‘inspired words’ goal – to help bring each writer’s work forward so their unique offering can be consumed, appreciated and put to use toward our overall goal toward a better and more conscious life.”

 “Self-publishing is at an all-time high, as first time writers and authors have only a slight chance, at best, of having their manuscripts reviewed by an editor at one of the remaining big publishing houses, and an even smaller chance that they will be accepted. Writers today can far more easily bring their books to market in print and/or e-book format and find success as an author.  Yet navigating the many steps to bring a book concept forward to successful fruition is a bit like setting sail without a map – and many find themselves adrift or completely lost in the process,” noted Stuth, who founded Satiama, LLC in 2008 with her sister Susan. “What makes our mentoring and marketing services unique is the absolute customized and personalized program that we develop for each of our clients. We don’t offer a ‘cookie cutter’ set of solutions.  They really feel and appreciate the difference! We have a passion for this work, and we believe it really shows.”

“We really became concerned about the number of phone calls I was receiving from writers who were considering using a ‘print on demand’ service or a publishing company that was really just a vanity press,” observed Lion. “They didn’t understand the ramifications of what they were about to get into, with many considering paying an amount per printed book that was 400% to 1000% higher than true market value. They had no one to vet their options to, other than us, because we were always glad to talk with them and help them down their path to success. And so Satiama Writers Resource was born!”
